Practitioner Profile
Mel comes to us with a wealth of life and work experience, including a long background in the early childhood profession. She has spent the majority of the past 30 years working as an early childhood teacher and manager after completing her Bachelor of Teaching in Early Childhood at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, NSW in 1993.
Her early childhood experience covers a range of early childhood services in both NSW and QLD, working within differing regulatory systems in roles such as; teaching, child development officer and directing in preschools and long day care services,
In the health and wellness realm, Mel has spent time working for Quality Practice Accreditation as a Quality Accreditation Manager while raising her then young family and living in rural NSW. She is also a self published author of two books in the subject area of young children, families and additive free foods.
Mel has a keen interest in health and wellness with as a strong belief in the importance of listening to your body’s needs through a holistic approach to care and treatment. She places high value on the importance of creating an environment that is professional and supportive as well as calm and nurturing, underpinned by authentic connections, acceptance and respect for all individuals.
