Practitioner Profile
Amy started out her career working in emergency services as an Advanced Care Paramedic. After several years working in public health care system, she returned to university to follow her passion and study her Master of Physiotherapy at The University of Queensland. Her drive has been to help people rehabilitate from injury, empower individuals to achieve their fullest potential and improve their quality of life. Amy enjoys working with both the paediatric and adult population and over the last two years has been working with children and their families at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. It was here she covered various clinical caseloads such as orthopaedics, musculoskeletal clinic, respiratory, infant developmental clinic, specialty outpatients’ clinics in orthopaedics such as the spinal clinic and brachial plexus clinic, PICU and most recently rheumatology and oncology.
Amy is entering into private practice on the Sunshine Coast to further establish her skills and knowledge in paediatrics, orthopaedics, musculoskeletal and sporting injuries. Outside of work you will find her at the gym completing strength training, trail/road running and enjoying a good coffee with friends and family. She looks forward to utilising her skills, knowledge, and empathy to make a meaningful impact on the sunshine coast communities, whilst enjoying the beautiful beaches and hinterland that Sunshine Coast has to offer.
