Practitioner Profile
Griet completed her Physiotherapy qualification at the University of Brussels, Belgium in 1999 and worked in her own private group-clinic setting and in hospital-rehabilitation and sport settings (volleyball, soccer, cycling). Her passion for the body started after the recovery of a volleyball injury of her own.
In 2012 Griet, her husband and back then 2 little toddler boys decided to relocate from Belgium to Torquay, Victoria and they fell in love with this beautiful part of the world and never returned. Since 2021 Griet and her family call the Sunshine coast “home”.
After a few years of contemplating getting her Australian Physiotherapy accreditation, Griet decided to complete her Diploma of Remedial Massage instead and combine her Physio knowledge with the hands-on treatment of RM in her sessions. A lot of different techniques will be used during her treatments, such as myofascial cupping, dry needling, PNF stretching and mobilisation.
Outside of work Griet loves hanging out with people (reading, talking and laughing for hours), going for beach walks, surfing and Pilates but most of all she loves being with her family.
